NEW DELHI: In a major security breach of the Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, an unidentified man tried to step onto the stage where chief minister was sitting during a Democracy Day event in Bengaluru on Sunday.
The incident, captured on video, shows a young man running toward the CM before being stopped by security personnel.
The man, later identified as Mahadev Nayak, was detained for violating security protocols.According to reports, Nayak intended to garland the CM with a shawl, however, he had been detained for breaching security protocols.

“A person named Mahadev Nayak has been taken into Custody after he tried to garland shawl to CM Siddaramaiah. He had a legitimate pass and proper identities. But since he tried to garland CM. This was a breach. He has been detained as per procedures,” a police official said.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah remained on stage during the incident, unharmed, while the man was taken into custody for questioning.
