Tom Cruise made a dramatic entrance at the Paris Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday, rappelling from the roof of the Stade de France before speeding off with the Olympic flag in an exciting handover to Los Angeles, the host city for the 2028 Games.
Cruise, renowned for his high-energy stunts, descended roughly 160 feet into the stadium, greeted by applause from the 80,000-strong crowd.He high-fived athletes on his way to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, who was joined by US gymnastics star Simone Biles. Bass handed over the Olympic flag to Cruise, who then disappeared beneath the stage.

Moments later, the 62-year-old reemerged on a motorcycle with the flag proudly affixed to the back and exited the stadium in a scene resembling an action movie. He rode the bike into an airplane after that.
The event then transitioned to a prerecorded video of Cruise skydiving down to the iconic Hollywood sign, where the Olympic rings were cleverly incorporated into the landmark.
