And speaking of their solo public appearances, their professional separation sparked rumors of their divorce. The couple initially didn’t pay much heed to the chatter, but recently Prince Harry made a hilarious remark when questioned if there was any truth to the reports that stated there was trouble in their paradise.
“Apparently we’ve bought or moved houses 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?,” said Prince Harry at The New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit in New York City on Wednesday.
During the event, it was highlighted how everyone is fascinated by the life of the royal couple. Prince Harry was asked why is the couple making solo appearances and not coming to the events together, to which he replied, “Because you invited me, you should have known!”
Reflecting on all the fascination of the public towards the couple’s life which leads to rumour mill as well, Harry said it is definitely not a good thing. However, he tries to ignore trolls as much as possible.
“The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls…Their hopes are just built and built, and it’s like, ‘Yes, yes, yes,’ and then it doesn’t happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do,” added Prince Harry.
Recently at their foundation event, a behind the scene video showed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle working together for a united mission also shunned the chatter of their separation.
