NIFT counselling 2025: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will close the registration window for round 1 of UG and PG counselling today. Candidates seeking admission to BDesign and MDesign programmes must complete the application process by midnight on the official website — nift.admissions.nic.in or nift.ac.in.The registration is open only to those candidates who have qualified in the NIFT 2025 entrance examination and secured a valid Common Merit Rank (CMR) as announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Without registering for this round, eligible students will not be considered for seat allocation in the first round of admissions.Choice filling open until July 4While registration concludes today, candidates still have the opportunity to fill and lock their choices of courses and campuses until July 4. The choice filling facility is available to all registered UG and PG candidates. It is essential that applicants carefully select and lock their preferences before the deadline, as the seat allotment will be made based on these choices.The document verification process for round 1 will take place on July 2. Following this, the first round of seat allotment results will be published on July 7. Candidates allotted a seat will be required to submit their willingness and pay the admission fee between July 7 and July 10.Assessment process for PwD candidates concludes todayCandidates belonging to the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category, who missed their earlier physical assessment, must complete the process today at 10.30 am at the campus allotted to them. These candidates must carry and submit self-attested copies of several mandatory documents, including:Original UDID card (mandatory), Date of birth certificate or Class 10 marksheet, Class 12 marksheet, NIFT 2025 scorecard, Medical assessment reports and prescription, Category certificate (if applicable), and One passport size photograph.High participation in NIFTEE 2025 entrance examsThis year saw 17,974 unique registrations for NIFTEE 2025 stage 1. Candidates participated in two separate assessments — the General Ability Test (GAT) and the Creative Ability Test (CAT) — resulting in a total of 33,877 test entries.NIFT 2025 will have four counselling rounds and one spot roundNIFT has announced that there will be four regular counselling rounds, followed by a spot round for any remaining seats. Important dates for future rounds include:• Round 2: Correction in application forms and document verification on July 12, with choice filling until July 16• Round 3: Correction by July 23, and seat allotment by July 28• Physical reporting is scheduled for July 30• Spot round registration begins on August 1, with allotments by August 8Candidates are advised to ensure all uploaded documents are clearly legible and within the specified size limits (between 100 KB and 500 KB).
