Mahindra XEV 9e and Be 6e: Pack one variant features explained

Homegrown Automaker Mahindra and Mahindra recently launched two new electric vehicles in the Indian market – XEV 9e and Be 6e. Both EVs have garnered the attention of many consumers with their brilliant pricing, unique futuristic design, features, technology, and performance. Mahindra has only announced the price for the base trim of the XEV 9e and Be 6e called Pack One, which does not include the charger and is available for separate purchases.

The XEV 9e is priced at Rs 21.9 lakh and the Be6e is priced at Rs 18.9 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, introductory). Both variants also come with a smaller 59kWh battery pack. In this article let’s take a look at the features of Pack one (entry-level) trim of both EVs.

Pack one: 18.9 lakh (ex-showroom)
The Be6e Pack one is powered by a 59kWh battery with a 542km MIDC range. It’s paired with a single PMSM e-motor which puts out 231hp of power and 380Nm torque.

Other features include The vehicle features two 12.3-inch screens – a touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster—powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. It offers connected car technology with select remote functions, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, OTA updates, and 5G connectivity. External device compatibility is available for rear seat passengers, along with pre-installed OTT, social media, news, and shopping apps, plus built-in Amazon Alexa, four speakers and two tweeters, fabric upholstery, push-button start/stop, auto climate control with rear AC vents, keyless entry and go, a 150-litre frunk, a cooled glove box, and front and rear 65W Type-C ports. The second-row seats offer a 60:40 split-folding function and recline, and the driver’s seat has height and seatbelt adjustments. The steering wheel is tilt- and telescopic-adjustable, and the car includes cruise control for added convenience.

Safety-wise, it gets six airbags, rear disc brakes, and brake-by-wire technology, along with a rear camera and sensors for added safety. It also features a tyre pressure monitor, an electronic parking brake, a driver drowsiness detection system, auto headlights and rain-sensing wipers.

Other features include three 12.3-inch screens—a passenger screen, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a digital instrument cluster—along with connected car technology that includes select remote functions. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, offers OTA updates, and provides external device compatibility for rear-seat passengers. Built-in Amazon Alexa is also included, while the audio system comprises four speakers and two tweeters. The interior is finished with fabric upholstery, and the vehicle offers auto climate control with rear AC vents, keyless entry and go a 150-litre frunk, and a cooled glove box. It also has front and rear 65W Type-C ports, a second-row seat with a 60:40 split-folding and recline function, and driver’s seat height and seatbelt adjustments. Additional features include tilt- and telescopic steering adjustability and cruise control.
