The Directorate of Education Maharashtra has announced that the registration for the Maharashtra First Year Junior College (FYJC) Admission 2025 Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round 2 will begin on July 10. Students can expect the allotment list for FYJC CAP Round 2 to be released on July 17, 2025. The list will include the names of students selected for admission and will be communicated through SMS to their registered mobile numbers. This marks an important step for candidates who have yet to secure a seat or wish to upgrade their preferences after the first round.As per the official guidelines, students can choose up to a maximum of 10 junior colleges based on their preferences. Furthermore, those who were not allotted a seat in the first round will have the opportunity to modify their stream selection and college preferences during Round 2. Maharashtra FYJC admission 2025: A brief overview of Round 1
In the FYJC CAP Round 1, a total of 5,08,096 students confirmed their seats. Of these, 4,32,287 students were allotted seats under the centralized admission process (CAP), while 75,809 students were allotted seats through various quotas. The admission process was extended to include only five major urban areas this year; Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Amravati, Nagpur, Nashik, and Pune-Pimpri Chinchwad.In terms of stream preferences, a significant number of students opted for the Science stream, with 3,42,801 students making it their first choice. The Commerce stream attracted 1,39,602 students, while 1,49,791 students opted for Arts, showcasing a balanced distribution of preferences among the three major disciplines.
