Local staff working at inoperative Indian consulate in Afghanistan injured | India News
NEW DELHI: An Afghan staff member of the inoperative Indian consulate in Afganistan’s Jalalabad was injured in the “incident”, news agency ANI reported on Tuesday.
According to the ministry of external affairs‘ sources, the local staff sustained minor injuries in the incident.
“India had closed its Consulate in Jalalabad in 2020 itself. We are in touch with Afghan authorities and awaiting a report on the incident,” MEA source told ANI.
Currently, only the Indian embassy is operative in Kabul.
