Kalki Koechlin recalls rumours of affair with Farhan Akhtar: ‘… before we move in together…’ |
‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara‘ co-stars Farhan Akhtar and Kalki Koechlin were once rumoured to be in a relationship with each other. This was even before their collaboration in the 2011 coming-of-age road film.
In an interview with Mashabla, Kalki recalled a time when tabloids spread rumours about her and Farhan being in a relationship. She humorously shared how Farhan once called her to joke that before they moved in together, they should at least agree on the color of the walls. She advised not to take tabloids too seriously.
Kalki and Farhan first worked together in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, where she played Abhay Deol‘s character’s fiancée. Farhan not only acted in the film but also co-produced it with Ritesh Sidhwani under their company, Excel Entertainment. Kalki also appeared in Zoya’s 2019 film Gully Boy, the Prime Video show Made in Heaven, and the 2023 film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, all produced by Farhan’s company.
Kalki was previously married to filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. They met while working on her debut film Dev.D in 2013, married in 2011, and separated two years later. Kalki and her boyfriend, Israeli musician Guy Hershberg, welcomed their daughter Sappho in 2020. On the work front, Kalki will next be seen in the films Emma and Angel.
Farhan Akhtar was previously married to hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani. They married in 2000, had two daughters, Shakya and Akira, and separated in 2017. Farhan then dated actor Shibani Dandekar and married her in 2022. On the work front, he will next star in the war drama 120 Bahadur and return to directing with Don 3.
