Disha Patani’s elder sister, Khushboo Patani, has touched the hearts of many after she stepped in to rescue an abandoned baby girl in Bareilly. Khushboo, a former Lieutenant in the Indian Army, shared a heartfelt video on Instagram showing how she found the little child alone in a broken-down shanty near her home. Her brave and emotional gesture has taken over the internet, with fans and celebrities praising her for her quick action and kind heart.
The rescue that caught everyone’s attention
Early on Sunday, Khushboo posted a video showing the small baby lying alone in a dirty, makeshift shelter. In the clip, she is seen walking up to the child, gently picking her up as the girl begins to cry. Holding the baby close, Khushboo softly comforts her, telling her not to panic and promising she will be looked after properly. In the video, Khushboo speaks firmly to the camera and says, “If you are from Bareilly and this is your child, then tell us how the parents left her in this place. Shame on such parents!”
She then urges everyone to help, adding, “Please identify and share the girl child pictures.”

A heartfelt message to the authorities
Along with the video, Khushboo wrote a strong caption asking for help from the public and the police. She said, “Jako rakhe saiyan, maar sake nah koi (Nobody can harm one whom God protects). I hope she will be taken care of by the authorities and whatever is the chain of command ahead with proper rules and regulations @bareillypolice @uppolice @myogi_adityanath. Please save the girl child in our country! kab tak chalega yeh sab? (Till when will this continue)? Please. I will ensure that she goes to the right hand and her life will flourish henceforth!”

‘Once a soldier, always on duty’
Khushboo’s video quickly went viral, with thousands praising her strength and compassion. Among the supporters was Bollywood actor Bhumi Pednekar, who commented, “God bless her and you!”. Sister Disha also commented, “Bless you de and the little girl”
One user wrote, “Once a soldier, always on duty. Hats off to you, ma’am.” Many others flooded the comments section with love and appreciation, saying Khushboo may no longer be in the Army, but her spirit of service has never left her.
