According to the schedule released by the University of Delhi (DU), the physical trials for the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) quota are set to begin today, August 12, 2024. The trials for admission in the sports quota will occur from August 20 to 22, 2024. The applicants who are looking forward to gaining admission to the prestigious University through ECA quota must visit the respective trial centres to participate in the trial.The aspirants are eyeing 1365 available seats under the ECA quota.
This year, the University has received more than 11,000 applications, as compared to approximately nine thousand applications last year, demonstrating a surge of 42% in the number of applications in the ECA quota.
Various colleges have been designated as centres for conducting trials across 12 different activities, each with multiple sub-categories. The candidates must carry a photocopy of their DU registration receipt to the designated trial center and arrive at the scheduled time.
During the trials, judges might ask students to repeat their performance or answer questions pertinent to their chosen activity. For certain trials, such as creative writing and quizzing, candidates will not be permitted to bring mobile phones into the examination rooms.
