India’s first-ever solar car to be showcased at Bharat Mobility Expo ‘25: Details
Pune-based startup Vayve Mobility is all set to debut the upgraded version of its solar-powered electric car, Eva, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi this January. Eva, India’s first solar EV, was initially introduced at the Auto Expo 2023.

As per the manufacturer, the Eva is designed to address common city commuting challenges, such as limited parking, long refueling or charging times, and rising fuel costs. Besides that, the company has also revealed some key details about the model.
Solar-powered Eva EV: Range and charging time
Vayve Mobility claims the Eva can travel up to 250 km on a single charge and offers 3,000 km annually of solar-powered driving through its rooftop solar panels. It is interesting to note that the company also claims that the car’s high-voltage powertrain technology ensures ultra-fast charging, adding 50 km of range in just five minutes.
Solar-powered Eva EV: Features
It accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in five seconds and reaches a top speed of 70 kmph. Its operational cost is another standout feature. While petrol cars cost around Rs 5 per km, Eva’s running cost is just Rs 0.5 per km. In terms of features, the model includes smartphone integration, vehicle diagnostics, remote monitoring, and over-the-air (OTA) updates and more.
