Without naming either party, Badshah shared on his Instagram Stories, “Please don’t make the mistakes that we made. The world is ours for the taking. The controversy began during Dhillon’s Chandigarh performance, where he appeared to take a subtle jab at Diljit. Referring to a recent remark by Diljit, who had called Dhillon “one of his brothers” while wishing him well for his tour, Dhillon commented, “First unblock me on Instagram, and then talk to me.”
The statement quickly gained traction online, prompting Diljit to clarify the situation. Sharing a screenshot of Dhillon’s account, Diljit wrote on Instagram, “I never unblocked you because I never blocked you. My issues can be with governments, but never with fellow artists.”
Dhillon later addressed the situation on his Instagram Stories, acknowledging the backlash he expected for airing his grievances. “I wasn’t planning on saying shit knowing everyone will hate on me anyways but at least we know what’s real and what’s not,” he explained.
