13-year-old Chennai girl sets world record with 800 kg millet portrait of PM Modi



A 13-year-old student from Chennai, Presley Shekinah, has set a new world record by creating a portrait of Prime Minister Narendra Modi using 800 kg of millets. The painting, which measures 600 square feet, was completed in a non-stop 12-hour session as a tribute to the Prime Minister on his upcoming birthday on September 17.
Presley Shekinah, the daughter of Pratap Selvam and Sankeerani, is currently studying in class 8 at Vellammal School, a private institution in Tamil Nadu’s capital Chennai.The family resides in the Kolpakkam area of the city.
The young artist began her endeavor at around 8.30 am and finished the portrait at 8.30 pm on Sunday. Throughout a video posted on social media, the girl can be seen engrossed in her artistic endeavor, paying meticulous attention to every detail of her work.

Her achievement has been recognised by the Unico World Record and registered under the student achievement category. R Sivaraman, the director of the organisation established to recognise artistic talent, presented Presley Shekinah with a world record certificate and medal in recognition of her accomplishment.
Presley’s achievement was celebrated by her school administrator, principal, parents, and relatives, who all expressed their appreciation for the young girl’s talent and dedication.
